Truffle Hunting Oregon is a lightweight editorial travel guide. We do not run user accounts, mailing lists, or first-party analytics. This page explains what data the site does and does not collect.
What we do not collect
We do not ask for your name, email address, postal address, phone number, payment details, or any other personally identifying information. There are no forms, logins, or account features on this site.
What your browser sends automatically
Whenever you load any website, your browser sends a standard request that may include your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring page, requested page, and a timestamp. This is routine and required to serve the page. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare Pages, receives these requests in order to deliver the site.
Third-party services
The following third-party services may receive routine request data when you use the site, such as an IP address or browser fingerprint:
- Cloudflare Pages — hosts the site files.
- OpenStreetMap — serves map tiles used in the route maps.
- Stay22 — may rewrite "Check rates" stay links to booking partners for affiliate attribution.
- DiscoverCars.com — provides the car-rental comparison banner and affiliate links.
Each of these providers has its own privacy policy and terms, which apply when their resources load or you click through to their service.
Cookies and affiliate attribution
We do not set first-party cookies ourselves. Affiliate partners may use cookies, local storage, or URL parameters to attribute a stay booking or car rental back to this site. Those cookies belong to the partner, not us, and are set only after you click an affiliate link or load a partner resource.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
International visitors
This site is based in the United States. By using it, you understand that your connection data may be processed in the U.S. or in other jurisdictions where our hosting or third-party partners operate.
